load documents to squarespace

First, access File Storage:
  1. Login to your squarespace site
  2. Click on Website Management
  3. Under Data & Media click on File Storage
Then, create a new directory (or skip this section to load files to an existing directory):
  1. Click on Create Directory
  2. Enter a name for your directory, include a description if required
  3. Click on Save & Close
OR

Select an existing directory (or skip this section to load files to main "storage" directory):
  1. Click on name of existing directory
Then, upload files:
  1. Click on Upload Files
  2. Click on Select Files
  3. Locate the file(s) to be uploaded (use Shift or Control to select multiple files)
  4. Click on Begin Upload
  5. Once files are uploaded, click on URL to view the full URL of the document

You can also upload a ZIP file, but first make sure you check the 'Decompress Zip Files After Uploading' box.

upload files to your website via cPanel

Uploading file/files in cPanel File Manager

  1. Login to your cPanel (http://yourdomain.com.au/cpanel) using the login details provided by your webhost

  2. Click on the File Manager button on the home page

  3. Navigate to the folder where you want to upload your files, by using the following:
    • Open a folder by double-clicking on the folder icon or on the folder name
    • Go up a level by checking the box next to the folder name, then clicking on the 'Up One Level' icon

  4. Create a new folder (if required) by clicking on the New Folder icon (top row of icons):

    • Enter the name for the new folder
    • Make sure you are creating the folder in the right place
    • Click on the Create New Folder button

  5. Click on the Upload icon:

  6. You will be taken to a screen with a list of 3 file upload fields:

  7. Click on the first Browse.. (or Choose File) button.

  8. Search for and double-click on the first file to upload. The upload will begin automatically.

  9. Repeat the above steps for each file you want to upload.

  10. If you need to add more files, click on Add Another Upload Box.

  11. When the upload completes, click on Back to /home to close the Upload files window.

  12. The new files you have uploaded should now be listed in the folder.

  13. Close File Manager by simply closing the window.

  14. Exit out of cPanel.
