Click on Website Management

Under Data & Media click on File Storage

Click on Upload Files

Click on Select Files

Locate the file(s) to be uploaded (use Shift or Control to select multiple files)

Click on Begin Upload

Once files are uploaded, click on URL to view the full URL of the document

You can also upload a ZIP file, but first make sure you check the 'Decompress Zip Files After Uploading' box.

Uploading file/files in cPanel File Manager

Click on the File Manager button on the home page

Navigate to the folder where you want to upload your files, by using the following:
- Open a folder by double-clicking on the folder icon or on the folder name
- Go up a level by checking the box next to the folder name, then clicking on the 'Up One Level' icon
Create a new folder (if required) by clicking on the New Folder icon (top row of icons):
- Enter the name for the new folder
- Make sure you are creating the folder in the right place
- Click on the Create New Folder button

Click on the Upload icon:

You will be taken to a screen with a list of 3 file upload fields:

Click on the first Browse.. (or Choose File) button.

Search for and double-click on the first file to upload. The upload will begin automatically.

Repeat the above steps for each file you want to upload.

If you need to add more files, click on Add Another Upload Box.

When the upload completes, click on Back to /home to close the Upload files window.

The new files you have uploaded should now be listed in the folder.

Close File Manager by simply closing the window.

Exit out of cPanel.

In YouTube:

Click on the <Embed> button underneath the video
Uncheck all the tick boxes
Select 640 x 505 (or enter custom sizes in the Custom fields)
Click on the code and copy (⌘-C)

In WordPress:

Edit/create new Post/Page
Paste code (⌘-P)

Uploading file/files in File Manager

You can use the File Manager to upload files to your web site. You can upload both a single file or several files at a time, up to 10 files at once.

Click on the File Manager button on the home page

Navigate to the folder where you want to upload your files, by using the following:
- Open a folder by clicking on the folder icon or on the folder name
- Go up a level by clicking on the 'Up' button

FOR A SINGLE FILE UPLOAD: scroll down to the bottom of the file list and click on the Browse.. (or Choose File) button next to the Upload File: field.

Search for and double-click the file you'd like to upload from your local computer and then click on the Upload button.

The upload will start and when it is finished, the screen will refresh and your new file should show up in the file list.

FOR A MULTIPLE FILE UPLOAD: please use the Multi button next to the Upload File: field.

You will be taken to a screen with a list of 10 file upload fields.

Click on the Browse.. (or Choose File) button next to one of the top fields.

Search for and double-click on the first file to upload.

Repeat the above steps for each file you want to upload.

Click on the Upload button when you have finished selecting files.

When the upload completes the screen will refresh and you will be taken back to the file/folder list where the newly uploaded files should show up.

To create an email account:

Open your web hosting Control Panel's Mail Manager section.

Enter the username of the new account in the "Create New Account" field. Enter the password, which you would like to assign to that mailbox in the fields below.

Click on the "Add" button.

Note: For security reasons your password cannot be shorter than 6 symbols as well as it cannot be similar to the mailbox name.

add audio files to your wordpress blog

These instructions will add your audio files to your Media Library.

From your Dashboard, click on the Media link in the left-hand sidebar.
Click on Add New

If you are using the Flash uploader:

Click on Select Files
Select the appropriate file, then click on Select
Once the file has been uploaded, you can add further details including:

Title
Caption
Description

Click on Save all changes

If you are using the Browser uploader:

Click on Choose File
Choose the appropriate file, then click on Choose
Click on Upload

Your audio files are now in your Media Library ready to include in your posts/pages.

To insert an audio player in a post/page:

Edit your post/page
Click on the musical notes next to Upload/Insert
Click on the Media Library tab
Click on Show next to the appropriate audio filename
Click on the Audio Player button under the Link URL field
Click on Insert into Post

Combine the two processes to insert a file from your computer directly into your post/page.

Edit your post/page
Click on the musical notes next to Upload/Insert
Click on Choose File
Choose the appropriate file, then click on Choose
Click on Upload
Once the file has been uploaded, click on the Audio Player button under the Link URL field
Click on Insert into Post
Your file will be inserted into your page/post as an audio player, and it will be stored in the Media Library as well!

create html email signatures in Mac Mail

Create your html email signature using an HTML editor (or get Rae to create one for you!)
Open Mail
From the Mail menu select Preferences (⌘-,)
Click on Composing and ensure Message Format: is Rich Text
Click on Signatures, then click on the + sign to create a new signature (this process works best if you have only one signature, so delete any old signatures not in use)
Close Mail
Open Safari
From the File menu select Open File (⌘-O)
Open the HTML file you created or imported in Step 1
From the File menu select Save As (⌘-S)
In the Save As dialog box, navigate to the user Library folder on your hard drive
In the Library folder, scroll down to the Mail folder, then scroll down to the Signatures folder.
In the Signatures folder you should see two files: one will be a .webarchive file and the other a .plist file
Click on the .webarchive file to overwrite the existing file, ensure the file format is Web Archive the click on Save
Open Mail
Check your Preferences (⌘-,) again to ensure the signature is connected to your mail account
Check your signature is working by sending yourself a test email (if you've got a second email account, eg, Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo etc, send yourself a test to that email as well!)

customising keyboard shortcuts in Word

Word comes with a whole heap of keyboard shortcuts, but it also allows you to customise them for your own use.

Word 2003 for PC:

From the Tools menu select Customize...
Click on the Keyboard button on the Command tab
Select the Category and Command from the lists
This will display the existing keyboard shortcut (if any)
Click in the Press new shortcut key: field
Key your preferred shortcut
If your shortcut is already assigned to another command, it will be displayed
Select which template you want to save your changes (I recommend saving them to Normal.dot so the shortcut is available for all documents)
Click on Assign

Word 2004 for Mac:

From the Tools menu select Customize, then Customize Keyboard
Select the Category and Command from the lists

Also, most applications will have its own list of shortcuts. You can find these either in Preferences under the Application menu (eg, for Word, click on Word, then Preferences) or sometimes under Edit | Keyboard Shortcuts.

You can also customise your keyboard shortcuts.

Mail Fetcher

To set up Mail Fetcher:

Click Settings at the top of any Gmail page, and open the Accounts tab.

In the Get mail from other accounts section, click Add a mail account you own

Enter the full email address of the account you'd like to access, then click Next Step.

Enter your Username and Password details

The default POP Server settings should be fine

Tick the 'Leave a copy of retrieved messages on the server' box

Tick the 'Label incoming messages' box and create a label (or use the email address as a label, although this may be a little long!)

Click Add Account

In the next window, select 'Yes, I want to be able to send mail as mail@yourdomain.com.au', then click on Next Step

Update your Name: details if required, then click Next Step

In the next window, select 'Send through yourdomain.com.au SMTP servers'

Enter your password and click 'Add Account'

Check your POP email account for a vertification email, then click on the link within that email

Now in gmail, when you click on Compose Mail, you can select either your gmail account or your POP account from the dropdown box in the From: field

Your designer has sent you a custom email signature as an HTML file. You will need to save this file to your computer according to which Operating System you are using:

If you are using Windows Vista:
drive:\user\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Signatures

If you are using Windows XP:
drive:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\Microsoft\Signatures

Once you have saved the file, use the following instructions to insert the signature automatically.

outlook 2007

To insert a signature automatically:

In a new message, on the Message tab, in the Include group, click Signature, and then click Signatures.

Note You can also access the signature options that are available on the Message tab after you click Reply, Reply to All, or Forward in an open message.
On the E-mail Signature tab, in the Select signature to edit list, select the signature that you want.
Under Choose default signature, in the New messages list, select the signature that you want.
If you want to include a signature in message replies and in forwarded messages, in the Replies/forwards list, select the signature. If not, select none.
Click OK.
To add the default signature to a currently open message, on the Message tab, in the Include group, click Signatures, and then select the signature.

merging duplicate contacts

Login to your salesforce.com account
Search for contact name
Update Account Name on all contact records so they are matching (if required)
Click on Account Name to view Account Detail
Under the Contacts list, click on Merge Contacts
Type the contact name in the search field then click on Find Contacts
Ensure all duplicate contacts are ticked, then click on Next
Select the values that you want to retain in the merged record by clicking on the appropriate radio buttons

Fields with conflicting data will be highlighted purple

CAUTION - If conflicting data is stored for a multi-pick list:
- Click on the radio button of the FIRST record to select it
- Write down the data in the OTHER record on a piece of paper
- After the merge you will need to manually update that field
in the contact record with the additional data
Click on Merge
You will be prompted with the following message:

"These records will be merged into one record using the selected values. Merging cannot be undone. Proceed with the record merge?"
Click OK to be returned to the Account Detail screen
Click on Contact Name listed as the second item under Recent Items to view the new merged record
Click on Edit to update any multi-pick lists if required, then click on Save

If MYOB is running, please exit the program
Save the formname.FRM file to the C:\myob16\Forms folder on your computer
Open MYOB
From the Sales command centre click on Print/Email Invoices
Click on Advanced Filters
Ensure Sale Type matches the type of Invoice Form you are installing, ie, if it is a Service Form, then select Service
In the Selected Form for Sale field, select formname from the drop down box, then click on Use Form to return to the Advanced Filters dialog box
Click on OK to return to the Review Sales Before Delivery dialog box then click on Cancel to return to the Sales Command Centre
Your new Invoice Form is now set as your default form.

When raising an Invoice, ensure you select the relevant layout, ie, Service, by clicking on Layout
Select relevant layout, ie, Service, from the Select Layout dialog box then click OK
You should now see formname as the default option when you click on the Print button at the bottom of the Sales - New dialog box

Save the font file (.ttf) to your C:\Windows\Fonts folder
Open the C:\Windows\Fonts folder (to do this: double-click the My Documents icon on your desktop, then type C:\Windows\Fonts in the Address bar, then press Enter)
By viewing the contents of the Fonts folder you complete the installation process
Close the Fonts folder

To set up a POP account, open Outlook then follow these simple instructions:

On the Tools menu, click E-mail Accounts

Select Add a new e-mail account, then click Next

Select POP3 for the e-mail server type, then click Next

Complete the E-mail Accounts dialog box using the information sent to you by your email host

Click Test Account Settings to verify that your account is working. If there is missing or incorrect information, such as your password, you will be prompted to supply or correct it. Be sure your computer is connected to the Internet.
